Duplicate an invoice or a quote in QuickBooks Online

Learn how to make a copy of an existing invoice or quote in QuickBooks Online.

If you have a customer who has a repeat invoice, save time by duplicating the invoice instead of entering all the info twice. Here's how.

When you copy an invoice or quote, it creates a new invoice or quote with the same info. You can even change the invoice’s or quote's customer if you want to send the same invoice or quote charges to different customers.

  1. Follow this link to complete the steps in product Open this link in a new window
  2. Find the invoice or quote you want to copy.
  3. In the Action column, select the dropdown â–Ľ, then select Duplicate.
  4. Edit the invoice or quote as needed, then select Save or Save and close.

  2. Find the invoice or quote you want to copy and select View/Edit.
  3. Select More, then select Copy.
  4. Edit the invoice or quote as needed, then select Save or Save and close.

If the same customer needs the same invoice regularly, you can set up recurring transactions instead.
