You can edit sales receipt or invoice payment information that doesn't affect the charge or payment such as the date, reference number, and memo. In this article, we'll show you how.
|Note: For payments already processed, you can go to QuickBooks Online on the web to make changes.|
Here's how to edit the information.
- From the Menu ☰, select Sales receipts or Invoice payments.
- Select the sales receipt or invoice payment that you want to edit.
- Select Edit ✎.
- Make changes, then select Save.
If you try to change fields that affect the charge, cancel the changes because you can't save them.
