I have passed a tax adjustment entry creating a liability in the CGST Payable A/c and SGST Payable A/c. How to make payment entry?

Hello there, Ultrasafe.

Let me share some information about making payment for the tax adjustment we've created in QuickBooks Online.

Since we've created tax adjustment, we can record the payment directly by following these steps.  Here are the steps on how to do it:

  1. Go to Taxes on the left panel.
  2. Within the Returns tab, click the drop-down arrow next to Tax Adjustment.
  3. Select Record payment. A window appears where we can enter the amount and date. Also, make sure to select the correct bank account.
  4. Once done, hit the Save button.

Here are the sample screenshots for additional reference:

When we go back to the Returns tab, locate the period where we enter the payment. We'll see a Paid status on it. Also, you may want to check this article to gather additional details about making tax adjustments and how to use and handle them in QuickBooks Online: What is Tax Adjustment, and how do I use it?.

Let me know if you have follow-up questions. I'll be here to assist you right away. Take care and have a good one!
