Product Region FAQs

Accepting a client invitation from another region that’s supported by QuickBooks Online Accountant will result in a new (separate) QuickBooks Online Accountant account being created for that region. This will require that you sign up with a unique user ID.

Note: Clients in a region that is not within one of the available regions listed above will be able to invite you as an accountant user, but you will not be able to access their records through QuickBooks Online Accountant or use Accountant-specific features. Instead, you will be have to access their data through QBO.Intuit.com.

For instructions on how to accept an accountant invitation, refer to Add new clients to QuickBooks Online Accountant. To invite an accountant, see: Add an accountant user.

You can create a client in a different region from yours, however that company will stand alone, meaning it will not be part of your client list. To create a client in a different region, see QuickBooks Online International Versions.

No. The region you select when you first sign into QuickBooks Online Accountant is the region connected to that login, from that point forward. You can create a client in a different region from yours, however that company will stand alone, meaning it will not be part of your client list. To create a client in a different region, see QuickBooks Online International Versions.

At this time, QuickBooks Online Accountant is only available for the listed regions. If you do not live in one of the available regions, you can still use QuickBooks Online Accountant to support clients within the listed regions; however, you will need to create and manage companies for your own region outside of QuickBooks Online Accountant. See QuickBooks Online International Versions to create a QuickBooks Online company outside of QuickBooks Online Accountant.
