Fix bank connection error 350 in QuickBooks Online

by Intuit• Updated 2 days ago

Learn how to fix bank connection error 350 in QuickBooks Online.

Error 350 means that the secure connection between our app and your bank has expired or no longer works. This usually happens for security reasons. Fix this to reconnect your bank and download transactions again.

Important: These two best practices prevent the most common causes of connection errors.

  • Have one person handle all bank connection setups and maintenance for your QuickBooks company.
  • When reconnecting, always select All Accounts when your bank asks which accounts to share. Do this even if you only use a few accounts in QuickBooks.

Error 350 happens if the connection to your bank or credit card account expires or gets updated. Depending on your bank, you might need to reconnect every 90 business days or every 18 months.

Here’s how to fix it:

  1. Go to All apps A bunch of numbers and letters on a tile wall., select Accounting, then select Bank transactions (Take me there).
  2. Select the bank or credit card account you want to reconnect.
  3. Look for the error message and select Fix now.
  4. Confirm the user ID and password you use to sign in to your bank's website. Re-enter your bank info if needed.
  5. Select Save and connect.
Note: You'll see a Connection complete and transactions updated! message if you reconnect successfully.
  6. Select Close.

Tip: If the issue persists, sign in to QuickBooks using an incognito or private browser or try other browser troubleshooting options.

Error 350 might happen when multiple QuickBooks users share the same bank sign in for separate companies. Your bank supports only one active connection, so each reconnection restores one company but disconnects the others.

Note: The most recently reconnected company takes over. All other companies lose access to the connected bank. This creates a cycle where every reconnection fixes one company but disconnects another.

Prevent error 350 with the primary user approach

When multiple QuickBooks users manage their own reconnections with the same bank sign in, the cycle continues. Having one designated person handle all reconnections is the best way to resolve this. Here’s how:

  1. Select one QuickBooks user to manage all banking tasks across your connected companies. This person should:
    • Add bank accounts
    • Update connection settings
    • Fix or re-authorise connections
  2. Other team members can still do tasks that won't affect the bank connection. Such as:
    • Refresh the bank feed
    • Categorise transactions
    • Reconcile as usual
