Learn how to set up customise accounts receivable reports with scheduled email in QuickBooks Online.

You can set up accounts receivable reports with automated email reminders for your customers. This helps you save time and stay organised.

Some of your reports will look different depending on whether they're in the classic view or new enhanced experience. Learn more about the new enhanced experience.
Note: QuickBooks Online doesn't have the ability to create recurring customer statements like it does with transactions.

Set up Accounts receivable reports

  1. Select Reports (Take me there).
  2. In the Type report name here dropdown, find Accounts receivable ageing summary or ageing detail report.
  3. Select the Report period ▼ dropdown, then select which date range you want to see.
  4. Select Save As, then enter the name of the report in the Report name field.

    Note: You can turn on Share with others to make it visible. Then select the Add to group dropdown then + Add new group.
  5. Select Save.

Set email schedule for Accounts receivable reports

  1. Go to Reports (Take me there) and select the Custom reports tab.
  2. Find the report name.
  3. From the Action dropdown, select Create a schedule.
  4. In the Workflow name field, enter the Workflow name.
  5. In the Start field, enter a start date, then select when you want to repeat it.
  6. Enter the email address you want to send the report to.
  7. Enter the subject and your message.
  8. Select Save and turn on.
