Transfer funds from a bank to a credit card account

Learn how to transfer funds from a bank to a credit card account.

Move your money from a bank to a credit card account in QuickBooks Online.

Note: Customers can’t use multi-currencies to transfer funds from their bank to credit card account.

1. Select + New or + Create.
2. Select Pay down credit card.
3. From Which credit card did you pay? dropdown, select a credit card. Note that it doesn’t show inactive accounts.
4. Enter the amount and date of the payment.
5. Select which bank your customer used to make the payment.
6. (optional) Select the I made a payment with a cheque checkbox if they pay it using a cheque.
7. (optional) Add a memo or description for the transaction.
8. Select Save and close.
