Learn how to sign up and create a QuickBooks Online Accountant firm.

If you're an accountant, use QuickBooks Online Accountant to connect to their clients' accounts. This version of QuickBooks lets you review their books, edit transactions, and fix issues. It also gives you enhanced bookkeeping tools.

Sign up for QuickBooks Online Accountant

You can create a new QuickBooks Online Accountant firm directly from our website, or an invite sent by a client.

Tip: Even if you have an existing Intuit user ID, you may want to create a new profile specifically for your firm.

If you've never used QuickBooks

If you don't have an existing user ID, or you want to create a brand new profile for QuickBooks Online Accountant:

  1. Head over to our website.
  2. Select the Sign up link.
  3. Follow the steps to create a new firm.

If you already use QuickBooks

If you have an existing user ID, you can create a QuickBooks Online Accountant firm from it.

  1. Head over to our accountant website.
  2. Sign in with your user ID and password.
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to create your firm.

If you've never used QuickBooks

  1. Ask your client to invite you to be their accountant.
  2. Open the invite email and select the Accept Invitation link.
  3. Follow the steps to create an account.

When you're finished, you'll have a brand new QuickBooks Online Accountant firm.

If you use QuickBooks

  1. Ask your client to send the invite to the email address connected to your existing user ID.
    Tip: If you want to create a brand new profile, ask them to send it to a different email address.
  2. Open the invite email and select the Accept Invitation link.
  3. Sign in with your user ID and password.
