I noticed the products QTY-On_Hand value is different on "Stocktake Worksheet" vs "Inventory Adjustment"

Hi there, @userarvin.

Are you comparing different reports which aren't available in QuickBooks Online?

If this was the case, let me share some insights about their differences.

Stocktake Worksheet or inventory sheet takes on many different meanings for each type of business. Regardless of business type, an inventory sheet is a checklist of inventory type, the amount you have, price per unit, and SKU or serial number.

On the other hand, inventory adjustments are the manual adjustment of an item's inventory by a store user for a given reason.

To get more details, you can reach out to your accountant. That way, they can provide you with further info about the reports.

In case you're referring to something else, or a specific report available in QuickBooks, get back to this thread. Our QuickBooks Community team and other users are always ready to help. Have a good one.

I noticed the products QTY-On_Hand value is different on "Stocktake Worksheet" vs "Inventory Adjustment"

Thanks for coming back, userarvin.

I appreciate you for providing us with a screenshot of your concern to better isolate the issue. Since the quantity on hand value is different from Stocktake Worksheet and Inventory Adjustment report, let's try signing in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues. Here's how:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

Then, try running both reports again. If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime collection of data can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. You can also use supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox. Note: To preview and print forms on Mac OS, you'll also need the Firefox PDF plugin.
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari 11 or newer (Mac only)

If the same thing happens, I'd suggest contacting our Customer Support Team to help you investigate what's causing this issue. Just follow the steps provided by MaryJoyD to reach out to them.

Feel free to visit our Reports page for more insights about managing your financial reports in your account.

I'd like to know how you get on after trying the steps or after contacting our support as I want to ensure this is resolved for you. Please reply to this post and I'll get back to you. Wishing your business continued success.
