I need assistance connecting my bank account to QuickBooks Online. My bank (OCBC Singapore) doesnt appear in the list of available banks when I search under “Link account”

Could you please check: Whether OCBC Singapore is currently supported? If there is an outage or maintenance? What is the alternative method to sync transactions? Thank you.

Hi there, Njar.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your detailed explanation regarding the issue of connecting your bank to QuickBooks Online.

There are several reasons why your bank’s name won't appear in the list, including:

  • It has multiple names.
  • Not all types of accounts are supported for connection.
  • It’s not a participating financial institution integrated with QuickBooks.

To ensure you’re using the correct listing, I recommend entering your bank’s URL or searching for other versions of its name, as it might be listed differently.

If your bank’s name still won't appear, it means that it's currently unsupported by QuickBooks. In that case, you can submit a request to support your bank account. To do so, here's how:

  1. Go to Accounting, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Click the Connect account button.
  3. Search for your bank’s name. If QuickBooks is unable to show your bank, you’ll received the “Hmm, we can’t find [name of the bank you entered] in our list of supported providers”.
  4. Click the Request a provider button.
  5. Then, enter the Account provider name and their Account provider sign-in URL.
  6. Once done, click Request.

For reference, please visit this article: Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking in QuickBooks Online.

In the meantime, I recommend manually uploading your bank transactions in QuickBooks to ensure you can manage your entries seamlessly.
