Hi there, @shaq3.
If you're trying to create an invoice with Inclusive tax in QuickBooks Online mobile app, you can do it by clicking the Tax Is section. You can choose either the tax is Excluded from amounts or Included in amounts.
You can take a look at the below screenshot for your visual reference.
For more information about using QBO mobile app, see this article: QuickBooks Online app overview.

Hi,
thanks for your help. How do I set the default to inclusive of taxes as currently my default is exclusive (see below)
Hello Shaq3, thanks for coming back to us here, so the way to set it as a default is you need to go to the main cog wheel>account and settings>advanced>accounting>click on default tax rate selection- change this from exclusive to inclusive>click on save and done
Hi Ashleigh,
Thanks, I did that, and it works for my online quickbooks, however it doesn't work for my quickbooks mobile app.
Exclusive is still the default on my mobile app

Hi @JasroV
Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried that, I also tried to delete and reinstall the app and still no luck!
It's quite frustrating! I'll attach a screenshot from my phone to demonstrate what I am talking about.
the price is £8.50 per item so 2 x item should be £17. however, because tax is exclusive it does the exclusive price of £7.08 x 2 and adds 20% tax on to that which makes it £16.99
This is frustrating when the quantities are much higher and customers are sending odd numbers like £67.96 to my bank instead of £68
I've managed to make inclusive on the website version but it doesnt translate to my phone app version and I dont know what to do
Hello, @shaq3.
I can see how this affects your daily sales transactions. I appreciate the things you've done to fix this. I'd like to know if you've checked also checked this specific inventory item's sales price. If the rate is incorrect, you can change it to £8.50. However, if it's correct, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team and let them know about the troubleshooting methods you've done. They have the tools to check further about this issue.

Hello Community Users! Just wanted to add some clarification to this thread. There was an issue where accounts with exclusive tax set as default on the browser version of Quickbooks were seeing inclusive of tax as being the default on the app version of Quicksbooks and vis versa. This was picked up by our product engineers and should show the same default in the app as in the browser.
