For a business-use van purchase in QuickBooks Self-Employed, please confirm the appropriate category with your accountant so it aligns with your tax strategy. If the purchase isn’t appearing in your business expenses, make sure the date ranges on the Transactions page and the Profit & Loss report are correct.
Here’s how:
1. Go to Reports, then select View in the Profit and loss.
2. At the top right, open the date drop-down.
3. Set a Custom date that includes the purchase date.
