Can anyone tell me why my subscription offer didn't work and I've been charged full price?

I've just registered, with a 90% discount and been charged full price? I don't understand

I'm here to get you pointed in the right direction to get assistance with the charge that you received.

 

These are the possible reasons why your subscription price changes:

 

  • You are currently using Payroll services
  • Sales tax is added to the base subscription price
  • You take and process customer payment 
  • You had promotional discounts that have expired, so your subscription now bills at the regular price
  • You are being charged for using additional features that are not included in your subscription plan
  • You recently upgraded from Simple Start to Essentials, or from Essentials to Plus

 

If you still have questions about the charges, I  recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. This way, they can help check your account and verify the charges.

 

You can follow these steps on how to reach out to our live agents:

 

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner.
  2. Type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.
  3. Look for I still need a human and click on it.
  4. Click Get help from a human or Contact Support Team.
  5. Select between Send a messageSchedule an appointment, or Get a callback.

If you open a trial account and pay it from the Billing and Subscription menu, the discounted rate is not applicable.

Can anyone tell me why my subscription offer didn't work and I've been charged full price?

Hi. I'm a brand new user (I've never been on quickbooks before). I am a sole trader so I just need the most basic account. 

The 90% off for the forst year offer then changed to a 6month offer and now when I try to subscribe, it is only giving me the option of £10 per month. What is going on?

Thanks for dropping your concern here in the thread, Adam. Let me give insights regarding the pricing when you're about to subscribe to QuickBooks Sole Trader.

 

When you sign up for a subscription to QuickBooks, you can choose between the Self-Employed and Simple Start plans for Sole Traders. With the current offer, you will only need to pay £10.80 per year for QBSE and £15.10 per year for QBO Simple Start, as QuickBooks offers a 90% discount. The cost will be £1 for QBSE and £1.40 for QBO Simple Start monthly. After the discount period ends, the regular prices of £108 for QBSE and £151 for QBO Simple Start will apply.

Can anyone tell me why my subscription offer didn't work and I've been charged full price?

Hi thanks for the response but I already know what the deals are as they are online. The problem is now I have downloaded the app, the offer has now changed to a 6 month free ONLY offer and the 1 year free offer has disappeared. I tried to screenshot the offer but it says you won't allow that. This is all feeling like a complete scam and it has wasted a lot of my time trying to navigate around this and send you messages.

Now when I select the 6 month deal. It comes up with a "unable to complete request" warning. Your app is so badly made .

 

I think I'll use Xero!

I recommend contacting our QuickBooks support to check why the offer changed to 6 months free. Our expert team has all the necessary information about pricing and discounts. 

 

Here's how you can reach them:

 

  1. Hover to the Help menu, then click Contact Us.
  2. Type in a short description of your issue and concern in the box provided.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Select the Chat or Callback option.

 

Meanwhile, as you encountered a prompt message "unable to complete request" when selecting the 6-month deal, we can perform basic mobile troubleshooting to help you sort this out.  

 

For iOS:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Select Reset App Data.
  3. Click on OK.

 

For Android:

 

  1. Proceed to the Home menu or tap the three dots in the right upper right corner.
  2. Tap on Settings.
  3. Select Refresh Data.
  4. Click on Yes.

 

In the meantime, you can open your account using your web browser to subscribe.
