hi i am self employed and have logged onto the normal quickbooks by mistake i do have a self employed account but was wondering if i can get rid of the normal account?

Yes, you can remove the standard account by selecting the appropriate product when signing in. Typically, you can log in to other QuickBooks products using your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account credentials. 

You can go to selfemployed.intuit.com/home to log in to your QBSE account and bookmark it for future reference.

Alternatively, you can switch to QuickBooks Self-Employed through your Intuit Account Manager. Refer to the How to fix it section in this article: Switch to QuickBooks Self-Employed if you signed in through QuickBooks Online.
