I gave received an email to say that my free trial is ending but I have been paying it for a year. Is this a scam?

Hello there, @deanjonesplumbin.

Let me share some information about the email you received, which pertains to an update on the free trial, even if you've already paid for a year's subscription to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Doubtful emails aim to trick you into sharing personal information. They vary in appearance but can seem convincing. Here's what to check if you're unsure it's from Intuit and verify if the email is a scam.

  • We’ll never ask for your personal info in an email.
  • Our emails will always come from an email address that ends with @intuit.com. This includes @e.intuit.com.
  • Any link we send you in an email will always be for an intuit.com address.

I also recommend checking your card on file if it's active and check the status of your account by following these few steps:

  1. Select the Gear icon, then Account and Settings.
  2. Select Billing and Subscription. You can check if you’ve already subscribed or are still in the trial period from here.

In case you've encountered an error in subscribing, check this article: Unable to subscribe to QuickBooks Online

Additionally, you can always view your payment history. This way, you can track and manage your subscription.

Lastly, check out these articles below on how to update the card on file, change subscription, and other related topics.

Feel free to leave your comments if you have follow-up questions about your account. I'm always here to help. Keep safe.
