I want to cancel my subscription?

We’re sad to know that you want to cancel your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, @essence-catering. However, I’m here to make the process easy for you.

Please know that, for paid subscriptions, we'll keep your company data for a year. You'll still have access to it, but you're unable to make changes or enter anything. After that period, everything will be deleted. Make sure to resubscribe once you decide to come back.

Here's how to cancel:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, select Account and settings.
  3. Choose the Billing and subscription tab.
  4. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel your trial.
  5. Click Continue to cancel, then select the Continue to cancel button (if it shows on your screen).
  6. Follow the next steps.
  7. Select Submit and cancel subscription.
  8. Click Got it.

For more details, please see this article: Cancel your QuickBooks Online Subscription.

Once canceled, here are a few things you should know about the life of your QuickBooks Online data.

In case you'd like to resubscribe in the future, you can easily reactivate your account. We'd love to have you back!

Let me know if you have other concerns about canceling your account. I'm always glad to help in any way I can.

I want to cancel my subscription?

It saddens me to hear that you have decided to leave us too, ados.It seems that QuickBooks Online may not be the most suitable option for your unique needs. Our main goal is to assist you in discovering the most fitting tools that match your requirements.

When canceling your QBO subscription, QuickBooks will allow you to have read-only access to your data for one year from cancellation, the same as my colleague mentioned above.

After that, the application will automatically delete your data from the system. Before we proceed, if you happen to have data on your current subscription, you can export them into an Excel file to have a backup. Then, here’s how you can cancel your account:

Since the Community is a public forum, we're unable to perform the steps needed to cancel your account. Therefore, I advise you to follow the steps outlined below to manually cancel this within your current subscription:

  1. Sign in to the Intuit Account Manager.
  2. From there, go to the Products & billing tab.
  3. Select your company name, and find the product you wish to cancel, then select Cancel.
  4. Choose why you're canceling your subscription from the choices. Once you’ve filled it out, select Continue to cancel.
  5. You’ll see a page that details product benefits, and the last day you'll be able to use your subscription. Select Continue to cancel.
  6. A pop-up confirming your subscription is canceled will appear, then you can select Got it.

Aside from that, you can also contact our Customer Support Team for assistance.

Moreover, if you find yourself getting back to business with QuickBooks, you can re-subscribe or reactivate your account in a few steps. We will be happy to serve you back.

If you need any further help, feel free to leave a comment and I'll be happy to assist you. I'm always available to offer a helping hand, so don't hesitate to reach out. Take care and stay well!
