i was asked to update password and know i am being asked to subscribe

Hello, mike. There are two main reasons why you are asked to update your password and are then prompted to subscribe.

First, you may be signing into an account that is either expired or a free trial you set up previously. Please double-check that the email address or user ID you used for the password update is the exact one associated with your active QuickBooks subscription. If your user ID is connected to multiple QuickBooks companies, you must select the correct company from the list after you sign in.

Second, your subscription may have expired or lapsed. Sometimes, the required password change is a security step before the system blocks access for another reason, such as a billing failure or a trial period ending. Check your billing email inbox for any recent messages from QuickBooks about failed payments or subscription expiration.

If you are the Primary Admin, let's check your subscription and billing status (Active, Trial, Expired, or Canceled) and confirm you are connected to the right company.

Here's how to check:

  1. In the top right corner of your screen, go to the Profile icon.
  2. Select Manage your Intuit Account
  3. Navigate to the Products & billing section, (or use Manage subscription in the Quick actions).
  4. Review the list of products/companies displayed.
