When I try to email an estimate or an invoice to a customer, the estimate or the invoice does not appear in the space below, so I think I am sending an empty email?

Hi there, Roy. Estimates sent to your customer will be attached to the email automatically. They will have an option to view the details. Let me clarify everything below.

Could you please send a screenshot of the email you sent to your customer? This will help us better understand the issue and verify what you mean by the email being empty.

When sending sales forms to your customers, you can modify the settings for how you wish to send them. You have the option to send them as plain text or as an online invoice.

If you're referring to the PDF file not being added to the email, you can add it by going to your settings in QBO.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, select Account and settings.
  2. Select the Sales section.
  3. Under the Online delivery section, click the pencil icon to edit it.
  4. Mark check the PDF Attached to add a PDF file.
  5. Once done, click Save. Then, Done.

If everything is configured correctly and you still have no information in the email. I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online support team. They can investigate why the email is empty when sent to your customers.

Furthermore, refer to this article for detailed steps in sending the estimates  to your customers in QBO.

Once your customer accepts the sent estimate, you can convert it to an invoice  to save time.
