Hi there, @brightpoolsbucks.

 

Let me share insights and guidelines on the possible reasons why you’re not getting your bank transactions into your QuickBooks Sole Trader. 

 

Before that, could you tell me which bank institution you are connected with? Additionally, do you encounter specific error messages, codes, or alerts? This information allows me to check for any reported issues related to it and provide an appropriate resolution. You can also refer to this article for specific fixes for each error: Fix bank connection errors in QuickBooks.

 

QuickBooks bank feeds may be unable to download your transactions due to bank website maintenance or ongoing issues with your bank. Error codes or messages can also contribute to this problem. Please log in to your bank's website to check for any issues.

 

If not, let’s manually update your bank to refresh the connection and retrieve the available transactions:

 

  1. Go to Transactions and select Bank Transactions.
  2. Select Refresh.

 

Once resolved, you can start categorising the transactions you download from your bank for better insights into where money is being spent, where it's coming from, or how it's transferred in QuickBooks. You can also utilise bank rules to automatically categorise recurring or similar transactions.
