Hi,
I'm trying to add a business account to Quickbooks, when I try to do this, quickbooks, says there is a message waiting for me on my bank account. I then go round this loop again, there is no message waiting for me on my bank account when I login. This is frustrating. How do I fix this please?
Thanks
Vinay
Hello vinaytek,
Do you have a specific error code when connecting your business account with QuickBooks Online? What's the name of your financial institution?
In my experience, some financial institutions have added a security function that requires your recognition. You might want to contact your financial institution's support about this.
Once you've taken care of the error, you should be able to connect your financial institution with QuickBooks Online.
You can leave a reply if you need more assistance with this. Any information and screenshots you can provide would be much appreciated.
Hi James,
there is (108) which is the only thing that looks remotely like an error message. I bank with Yorkshire Bank, and I’ve spoken to them and they said they don’t support third party apps which isn’t very useful.
Any other ideas what this could be?
Thanks
Hello again, vinaytek.
I appreciate you for providing the error code when adding a bank account. Let me provide some information about the issue.
I’ve looked into this further and it shows that there’s an open investigation about Error 108. Our engineers are all hands on deck working for the permanent fix.
While waiting for the resolution, we'll need to add you to the list of affected users. I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Customer Care Team so they can add you to the notification list to receive email updates.
In the meantime, you can use the WebConnect feature to download transactions from your bank's website and import them into QBO. For the step by step process, check out this article: Import bank transactions from Excel CSV file.
If there's anything else that I can help you with, don't hesitate to leave a comment below. I'll be glad to lend a helping hand.
Hi Vinyatek
Did you ever get this issue resolved? I bank with Yorkshire Bank, I get the same error code and I have been told that I am on the list of affected users.
But I have never been informed of any progress from Quickbooks
Our banking team will be introducing new bank feeds into QBO later this year to resolve this, Bigbaddaboom.
We'll make sure to let you know once we have it available. For now, you might want to update your bank transactions through CSV file. Check this out for additional details about the process: Import bank transactions.
Continue to bear with us until we fully fix this. Don't hesitate to visit again if you have other QuickBooks concerns.
