Bank account disappeared from Bank transactions page

Hello

I have a Current and a Savings account attached to QB. Today I have logged on and the Current account has disappeared from the Bank transactions page. It is still listed in the Chart of Accounts, Import bank data, reconciliation etc. and I can view the history of transactions in the Account history, but when I go via the menu Accounting --> Bank transactions, it is only showing the Savings account. The drop down at the top of that page is only showing Savings as well. So where it shows Pending and Posted transactions etc. the accounts both usually show side by side but I'm only seeing Savings.

My small organisation has used QB fairly superficially for a while (i.e. upload monthly statements, reconcile, and categorise, no bills / expenses etc.) and only starting to use it thoroughly now so I'm still very much learning the ropes so I'm not sure if I'm missing something fairly obvious.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Bank account disappeared from Bank transactions page

Hi, eic90.

Thank you for reaching out about your Current account not showing in Bank Transactions. There are several ways to determine why the account isn’t appearing. You can check the Chart of Accounts to verify if the account is connected. Also, you can toggle account visibility in the dropdown by selecting Show Account Cards.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Bank Transactions page.
  2. Click the dropdown arrow next to Link Account.
  3. Select Manage Connections.
  4. Toggle the account you want to display.

You can also check the Chart of Accounts to verify if your account is connected. Simply search for the account name, and check the connection status using the icon or indicator, as shown in the screenshot below. If it's not connected, you can simply reconnect your bank.

If the issue persists, try logging out of your account and then logging back in to refresh your browser.

Bank account disappeared from Bank transactions page

Hi Julius

Thanks for your reply. I wasn't actually trying to link the accounts as we import transactions manually but for some reason I couldn't see one of my accounts that is usually always there. However, I have imported more transactions manually and it has appeared again so I'm feeling a little bit silly.

Thanks!

Bank account disappeared from Bank transactions page

Thanks for getting back to us and clarifying your situation, eic90.

The number of bank tiles (connected accounts) shown on the Bank transactions page depends on your browser’s zoom level.

To adjust page zoom:

  • Hold Ctrl while scrolling up or down.
  • Or use your browser’s zoom controls.

If you’ve set a comfortable zoom level but still don’t see the bank tile you need, click the drop-down arrow next to the currently selected bank tile and select the account manually. Refer to the screenshot below.

You can also reorder your bank tiles:

  1. Click the drop-down arrow next to the current bank tile and select Reorder accounts.
  2. Press and hold the six-dot drag handle (⋮⋮).
  3. Drag the account into your preferred order.
  4. Click Save.

Once done, you can continue categorizing your transactions in QuickBooks Online.
