Bank window - For Review. GoCardless deposits posted and saved remain in the For Review window and cannot be cleared. Behaviour unchanged for several days now.

Hi there, k16.

 

QuickBooks sends downloaded bank transactions to the For Review tab. Then, it shows you if they match any records you’ve already entered in QuickBooks. And if it can’t find a match, QuickBooks will start a new record for you. For additional information, you can check this article:  Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. This way, the For Review window will be cleared and the transactions will go in the Reviewed tab.

 

If you have already reviewed the added and matched transactions and still showing in the For Review tab, It could be these are duplicate entries. That being said, I suggest excluding them to clear your For Review section.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click Banking at the left panel.
  2. On the Banking page, select the For Review tab.
  3. Select the checkboxes of the transactions to exclude.
  4. From the Batch actions drop-down, choose Exclude Selected.

 

If you already performed the steps above and the issue still persists, there are times that the browser keeps outdated Internet files that may cause websites, like QuickBooks Online, to receive unusual behavior.

 

I suggest logging in your QuickBooks account using a private browser. This way, you'll see if you get the same result. And, to verify if the issue is caused by a full cache. This might be also the reason that the transactions under For Review window cannot be cleared.

 

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using. 

 

  • For Internet Explorer of Firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

 

If it works in incognito, I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. You can check this article to see the steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

 

If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as alternatives.
