Barclays Bank connection

for the past 6 weeks I've been unable to connect my Barclays Bank accounts to Quickbooks.  There's just a 'thinking' circle going around & around endlessly which never resolves.  As you can imagine, this is incredibly frustrating!  Why has it stopped working and how to I reconnect?  My TSB account is still updating without any trouble.

I know this can be cumbersome, Qualia. I've checked our records and haven't seen any ongoing Barclays bank investigation. I'll share a few steps to help you connect the bank account to QuickBooks Self-Employed.


Let's try to update the account. This will refresh the connection between your bank and our program. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Bank accounts.
  3. Click Refresh all

If you're still unable to connect, I'd suggest reaching out to our customer care support. They might escalate your concern and open a new case. Here's how:

  1. Click Help inside QuickBooks Self-Employed.
  2. Select Contact us.
  3. Enter "Barclays not connecting" in the description field, then click Continue.
  4. Select either Start a chat or Get a callback

As of the moment, you can manually import the bank transactions using the Excel CSV file

Regarding your advice:

  1. Click Help inside QuickBooks Self-Employed. This just takes me to the Community Q&A page.
  2. Select Contact usAt the bottom of the community help page there is 'contact', which when I click on it takes me to this page with no indication of how to contact Quickbooks: 
  3. Enter "Barclays not connecting" in the description field, then click ContinueNo idea how to get to this page, lost in a loop
  4. Select either Start a chat or Get a callback do you have a link I can follow as I'm now losing the will to live?

I cant connect, I've found a lot of unanswered questions to this problem, what are you doing to address this?

I need a fix/answer not a workaround, it's your software not mine, I am a car mechanic not a software genius,

What happens when you try and connect your Barclays account in your self-employed account in Quickbooks?
