Barclays business bank connection

Over the last week or so my Barclays connection (when trying to update transactions) then clicking 'complete secure connection' does not update - is says update complete but no transactions have been downloaded and it didn't ask me for the usual additional security information from my pin sentry.  It did work last week, what's wrong? How do I fix?

We recently received reports about this the Barclay bank not updating the transactions through Online Banking. Our engineers and bank's technical supports are already working together to resolve this issue. You can contact our QuickBooks Customer Care Team to add your profile to a list of affected users.

 

Temporarily, you can update your Bank Feed transactions by uploading a valid Web Connect file coming from your bank. You can check out this article for more information: Upload more than 90 days of bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

 

We appreciate your patience as we work for a fix.

Hi Coffeemelon,

 

I'd be glad to let you know that our engineers have recently resolved this issue. You should be able to receive updated bank transactions in your Banking page without a problem. You can also update the page manually if needed.

If the same thing happens, I'd recommend contacting them again so they can further help you.

This thread has long been resolved, j-benn. 

 

I reviewed our system and found out that there's a new case regarding Barclays bank having issues with QuickBooks Online. Our engineers are already working for a fix.
 

Right now, I'd recommend reaching our QuickBooks Customer Care Team about this. They'll be able add your profile to the list of affected users and keep you up to date.

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. Go to this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_GB/contact.
  2. Select QuickBooks Online United Kingdom in the upper-right corner of the page.
  3. Select Working with Your Bank in the first section, then choose Downloading Transactions.
  4. Go to the second section and choose how you want to reach them (phone, email, or chat).

I'd appreciate your patience as we work on this.

Has the been fixed yet - as we are having issues! Im unable to get our bank to "connect securely"

 

Tried ringing you guys up and waited ages and still on hold. Only ben with you guys a few days and already having issues! not good!

I have been told to re-input the client's codes, not holding out much hope as done this before with no success.

I keep re entering the code - says its accepted however if then says "0 of 1 accounts have been resolved - complete security steps for Barclays Business Banking" and says underneath it "complete secure connection"

 

If this isn't resolved may just move to another package! maybe Xero

Well so far the only support Quickbooks team have offered me is sending me a link to an article in the community that basically says to re enter a code from PINsentry app every time..... not helpful when the manager is out the office and we don’t have access to the PINsentry. Exactly what are we paying for exactly ? 

 

If this issue isnt isn’t resolved I will be moving to xero - only a week in and already fed up!

Danjstratford I feel that same. It is actually a chore now been going on for weeks. Contacts quickbooks they say contact bank go to back and they say contact quickbooks. I will have a look at xero. Really disappointed as once you have tried getting all the up to date transactions its great.

Well thankfully have managed to fix it !!

 

No thanks at all to anyone who actually works for quikbooks !! They were beyond usesless

 

Actually from someone else in this group - you need to set up a memorable word and passcode with Barclays - remove Barclays from your quikbooks and re set it up but instead of using PINsentry it mobilesentry use memorable word - and hey presto it works ! Not one disconnection so far

My boss just did it over the phone - I think you can do it online too

You should be able to request any log in details from your bank over the phone and they will then advise on how they can forward this information to you.

OMG it was that easy?? I have been going back and forth for weeks to resolve not one QB staff member mentioned this! Took 5 mins and fixed... well I hope it lasts. Thank you Danjstratford!

You don't even need to delete your account, if you put the wrong numbers in a few times it gives you the option to change to another log in method.

Please could someone help me with this, same issue, I have set up Memorable word and passcode on Barclays on-line banking, but can;t work out how to use Mobile Sentry on QB.  I have discnnected my bank accounts but trying to reconnect, It will only give me the PIN sentry option, how do I get Mobile Sentry.  Have spent hours on this, I could cry!!!  Thank you

When you connect Barclays and enter surname//last name and then membership number to connect,is it then asking for pin sentry?

there should be an option for memorable word as well. When did you set the memorable word up at Barclays? Can you try in a private/cognition window going to QuickBooks and connecting again?

Morning

 

When I log in it only gives me the option for PIN Sentry, I have to enter the wrong details to then be able to get the choices up and choose PIN Sentry, Mobile Sentry or Passcode and Memorable word.  Even then I cannot log in, have tried Incognito and different browsers.

Barclays is currently running maintenance on third party connections (and has been for the last few days/week), which is preventing QuickBooks from being able to connect. This was planned to end today, however we cannot confirm this as a third party. Please continue to try to update, hopefully the connection will be back up and running soon.

With zero help from

quickbooks I found you need to call up Barclays and request them to change you log in to include a memorable world as well. The. Remove the bank account from

quickbooks and the reinstate. You will then be given an option to log in with the memorable word. Choose this option. Quickbooks cannot deal with the pinstary option.
