Thanks for your help but it was mainly a cookies/memories problem. Need to be empty to sort it out and to reconnect. Thanks again.

I'm here to ensure you're able to connect back to your bank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO). This way, you can keep track of your transactions in QuickBooks.

 

Before we start, can you share further details like if you encountered any error messages while connecting the Barclays account to QuickBooks? This way, I can provide the exact resolution about it. Also, there are no related concerns posted in the Community with regards to the Barclays bank's inability to connect with QuickBooks. 

 

Here are some of the possible reasons you're having trouble connecting your bank account to QBO:

 

  • The bank is performing system maintenance. 
  • There are notifications from their website that need your attention.

 

To start, I'd first suggest logging into your bank's website to check if there are alerts that need your attention. Once signed in, perform the following steps:

 

  1. Review your account page for messages, notifications, or alerts. 
  2. Check your bank’s website for any announcements.
  3. Once done, go back to your QBO account to perform a manual update.

 

Doing this will refresh the connection between your bank and QuickBooks. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu. 
  2. Select Update
  3. Enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials.
  4. Click Continue update.

In case you make changes to your bank's website, you'll have to update your bank info in QBO as well to match their account details. Let me guide you how.

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu. 
  2. Select the blue tile for your bank.
  3. Click the Edit (Pencil) icon. 
  4. Choose Edit sign-in info
  5. Update your details.
