Hi I have my Starling account linked to QB. I also opened another Starling account. This is a Euro account that sits under the main account. I am struggling to link it

I'm here to help you in handling your bank accounts, andyflemingagenc.

To connect your other Starling bank account in QuickBooks, we can set it up as your subaccount so you can connect it successfully. Before doing so, remember to connect only the subaccount if your online transactions are downloaded into each account. Please refer to this article to learn more: About Bank or Credit Card Subaccount Setup.

Here's how to edit your new bank account as a subaccount:

  1. Go to Accounting, then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the new Startling account you wanted to connect to online banking.
  3. Under Action, select Edit.
  4. Put a checkmark on the Is sub-account option.
  5. Select the correct parent account.
  6. Click Save and Close.

If you haven't created it yet, here are detailed steps:

  1. From the Chart of Accounts tab, select New.
  2. Select New at the top.
  3. In the Account Type drop-down menu, select the account type.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to create in the Detail Type drop-down menu.
  5. Enter a name for the account in the Name field.
  6. Check the box for Is sub-account, and then select the parent account.
  7. Click Save and Close.

Additionally,  here's an article you can read to learn more about the process: Create Subaccounts in your Chart of Accounts.

Lastly, I've got you this article for more ideas about how you can review and organise your online banking transactions: Categorise and Match Bank Transactions.

I'll be glad to assist if you have other banking-related questions or concerns.
