Hi, The green connect button on connecting my bank to QuickBooks isn't highlighting and therefore I have to use skip this time. some but not all bank transactions are?

I have bank transactions missing on quickbooks and still the green connect button isn't highlighting, could this be a bank issue, internet issue or QuickBooks issue?

Hello there! The Community is thrilled to welcome you to our forum. We understand the importance of seamless bank activities in QuickBooks Online, and we appreciate your efforts in troubleshooting and resolving your bank connectivity issue.

There may be a problem on your bank's end, such as their website undergoing maintenance or experiencing server issues. This can disrupt the online bank connection to QuickBooks. To verify this, I recommend reaching out to your financial institution or visiting their website to check if they have any notifications regarding downtime or technical issues.

If everything appears to be fine on their end, let's proceed with some troubleshooting steps. Sometimes, the system can behave unexpectedly when the browser is filled with outdated pages. To address this, start by logging into your account using an incognito window. You can use the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

Once you're in the private window, open your QuickBooks Online account and attempt to connect your bank account again. If the connection is successful, switch back to your default browser and clear the cache and cookies to start fresh. If the issue persists, you may want to optimize your QuickBooks Online performance by using a different compatible browser.

Furthermore, if you're unable to locate recently downloaded transactions or if new transactions aren't appearing, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Retrieve the latest transactions.

Step 2: Check the various options available under the Banking menu.

Step 3: Review your account history.

Step 4: Verify your uncategorized accounts.

For detailed instructions on each step, please refer to this article: What to do if you can't find downloaded transactions in QuickBooks Online.

In the meantime, you get transactions from your bank or credit cards and manually import them into QuickBooks Online. You can refer to this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

I've also included these articles for your reference in handling bank transactions moving forward:

We hope these steps help resolve your bank connectivity and transaction visibility issues. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. The Community is here to assist you 24/7. Keep safe!
