How do i record on quickbooks banking lump sums into our business account bank ?

Hi !

With our business , it can be sporadic in the way customers pay us upon completion of works. Lately there have been a lot of cash payments.

Our bank allows us bank £2-£3k per month before incurring any fees.

My question is , how do i record paying in 'lump' sums of cash from our cash account to our business account whenever we feel we want to.

Im in the U.K and still quite new to quickbooks so any help would be much appreciated

Hi sales35, 

 

If you have the cash account and bank account setup, you can easily record depositing the lump sum of cash to the business account by creating a transfer. 

 

To do this, go to the + icon > Transfer, enter the date the money was deposited, select the cash account under the 'Transfer Funds From' and the business account under 'Transfer Funds To' and enter the amount.
