In the chart of accounts create the income accounts you need, titled as you wish.
I would suggest something like
income>> income rentals>> income sales
Then in QB the item you sell/use determines the income account it posts to, so edit or create the items you need and link them to the income account you want them to post to
But, if you are thinking of something like wholesale income vs retail income, that is best tracked with class or location, since one item - one account is the way QB works
