I’ve been told I need to relink my Starling bank account on Self Employed. Not working?

Hi there, @philshulkind-hot.

 

Thank you for posting here in the Community. Let me share some updates about this unexpected behavior.

 

Our Product Engineers received similar reports from other users experiencing the same behavior when reconnecting Starling bank with QuickBooks Self-Employed. At this moment, we aren't able to give a specific timeframe when the issue will be resolved. Rest assured, the engineers are doing their best to fix and prevent this from happening again.

 

While waiting for the complete fix, I suggest manually importing bank transactions. You can follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu. Then select the Banking tab.
  2. Select the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. Press the Link account ▼ dropdown and choose Upload from file.
  4. Click Browse, then select the file you downloaded from your bank.
  5. Hit Next.
  6. In the QuickBooks account ▼ dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then select Next.
  7. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then select Next.
  8. When you’re ready, select Let's go.

I also recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Support Team so they can add you to our list of affected users. This way, you can receive live email updates about this issue.

 

You can follow the below steps:

 

  1. Go to the Help icon at the top.
  2. Click the Contact Us link.
  3. This will open another window where you can enter the issue/topic.
  4. Once done, click on the Let’s talk button to view the support information.
  5. Choose how you want to contact our QBO Care Team: Start messaging or Get a callback.
