My bank isn't in the list so I can't connect my account ?

I understand the frustration of not seeing your bank listed in QuickBooks Online (QBO), but don't worry, there's a way to connect it. Let me walk you through the details.

 

Sometimes a financial institution has multiple bank names or offers different types of accounts, which could make locating yours a little tricky. Please ensure you enter the correct name and spelling of your bank when searching for it. If it still won't show, you can also use the bank's URL in the search bar.

 

However, if the bank still does not appear after trying to search using its URL, that means your bank is not yet supported in QuickBooks. Don't worry, you can still connect your bank, but you will need to request support for it.

 

To do so, please follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Accounting, select Bank transactions, then hit Link account.

  2. Search for the name or URL of your financial institution. If QuickBooks is unable to locate your bank, you will see the message: "We can’t find [name of the bank you entered] in our list of providers."
  3. Click Request a provider.

  4. Enter your Account provider name and Account provider sign-in URL, then select Request.

You can check this article to see if your financial institution is listed as a supported bank in QuickBooks Online: Banks and Financial Institutions in QBO.

While waiting for QuickBooks to approve your request, you can manually upload your bank transactions to QuickBooks Online in the meantime. Once granted, you may connect your bank right away.
