Not updated since Friday morning last week, it says its updated but not showing the most recent 14 transactions
When I update it doesn't ask for passcode etc via card machine which it usually does to update

no error codes at all it goes all the way through and says completed bringing all my transactions in but they don't come in late transaction is dated 16/09/2019 nothing after that has come in to quickbooks online

When there aren't any latest bank transactions, there's a chance that the bank is doing some updates. It could be that they are having some system maintenance or upgrades. We might want to consider giving them sometime to complete their works.

I've checked our investigation list, but we haven't received any similar reports about this issue. The first thing to do is log in to your bank website to confirm if the expense transactions are posted in your bank account since the transactions downloaded to QBO is dependent on the data provided by your bank's website.
Once done, you'll need to manually update your bank account to bring in the transactions to QBO. Here's how:

same problem for about 3 weeks and all my banks and credit cards are not updating following error wait a few min and try again if the problem persists talk to support

While waiting for the solution, you can download your bank transactions from your bank’s website. Then, upload them to QuickBooks.
When the issue will be fixed, your uploaded transactions may show up on the Banking page again. When that happens, you can exclude them to avoid duplicates in your records.
