Let's troubleshoot the issue so you can successfully link the HSBC Kinetic bank to your QuickBooks app, swbroberts.
Please know that you can only connect HSBC Kinetic - Mobile Only (UK) via QuickBooks mobile apps on a device with the HSBC Kinetic app installed. You can then manage the bank connection and re-consent through both the browser and mobile apps.
If you already did this but the connection is still not working, the data stored on your device may affect its functionality. We can reset it to help refresh and eliminate common issues without deleting documents and data. Follow the steps below:
For iOS:
- Go to Settings, then tap General.
- Select iPhone Storage, then click the QuickBooks Online app.
- Tap Offload App.
For Android:
- Go to Menu ☰, then tap More Options ⋮.
- Navigate to Settings, then Refresh Data.
- Click YES to confirm.
If the issue persists, I recommend uninstalling and re-installing the QuickBooks app to ensure it's up to date. Once done, you'll need to log in and return to the Transactions menu to Link Accounts (HSBC Kinetic) via the mobile app.
After bringing the transactions in, you can start categorising them into the right category to represent your income and expenses accurately.
Lastly, understand Income Tax in QuickBooks to prepare and pay the government based on your annual earnings.
