My starling bank transactions are not showing in quickbooks. I am connected to quickbooks via the starling app, so the problem seems to be on the quickbooks side.

Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention, @nickbenians1. Let's work together to ensure your Starling Bank transactions reflect on your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account.

If I may ask first, did you encounter any error when trying to access your bank transactions in QBSE? Knowing this information will help me provide a tailored solution.

Moreover, we can refresh your bank connection to download the latest transactions within the program. Let me show you how to do it.

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then Bank Accounts.
  2. Click the Refresh All button.

If the newest transactions aren't showing up, it's possible:

  • Your bank's website is undergoing some maintenance updates.
  • Your bank requires you to update the information such as name (bank merger), account number, or login credentials.
  • There could be changes in the service offerings. (Web Connect or Direct Connect)

Thus, I suggest contacting your financial institution to see if any announcements or maintenance updates could affect uploading bank transactions to QuickBooks.

In the meantime, you can export transactions directly from Starling Bank and manually add them to QBSE. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your bank’s website.
  2. Follow your bank’s steps to download your transactions as a CSV file. It's usually a button or link on your account page.

Once done, you can manually add these transactions to the program and categorise and approve them.

Let us know in the comments if you require additional help managing bank transactions in QBSE. We're always here for you, @nickbenians1. Stay safe!
