Hi

Just wondering if someone can help?

A client of mine has just gone through to update his bank feeds due to the email sent out today advising of the new and improved bank feed today but he is experiencing issues, signing into Bankline it now says he has no eligible account? What does this mean please?

Natwest Bank connection - no eligible accounts

Hi Mia

What kind of account does he have with Natwest Bankline is it a current account? If the email was regarding open banking at the moment with Natwest it is current accounts which can be added

If it is not a current account they will need to use the Natwest Business Bankline -other accounts option until the open banking  goes live for all account types. We will be updating that link we have included when they are available.

If it is a current account we would need to look into it further, can you advise does it bring up an error number when it says not supported?

Thanks

Natwest Bank connection - no eligible accounts

Hi,

He has  a number of accounts linked to his log in, current, savings and foreign currency accounts. Does this mean that because of this even his current account will not update?

He is not getting an error message/code

Thanks

Natwest Bank connection - no eligible accounts

Yes, it's one of the possible reasons @Mia Baptiste.

To manually update your bank transactions, here’s how:

    1. Log in to your bank’s website outside QuickBooks.

    2. Review your posted transactions and check for any connectivity error notifications.

    3. Once completed, log in to your QuickBooks Online account.

    4. Let’s perform a manual update on your connected bank account.

          a. Go to the Banking menu.

          b. Choose the Banking tab.

          c. Select your bank account.

          d. Click Update.

          e. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials.

          f. Click the Continue update button.

You can read through this article for more insights about the new Open Banking process: Understanding, if you can update your bank, feeds to Open Banking.

Hi Alex,

Are you getting any error codes or error messages such as the account not being eligible on the 2 accounts that are not updating?

Hi,

I have the:

Your bank connection expired on 15/12/2019

UK Open Banking regulation requires you to authorise third-party connections directly through your bank. Reconnect now to keep your transactions coming into QuickBooks.

Reconnect

Then click reconnect – I then get ‘Consent to Connect for 90 days’

Its Natwest so get the choice Online Banking or Bankline – its Bankline so select this (support once suggested I tried to use Online banking but I don’t have the credentials it asks for here)

I go though the expected credentials:

Customer ID

User ID – (this only allows capitals but I have lower case in my user ID as well as caps)

Pin

Password

And get:

Sorry, you don't have any valid accounts

You don't have any valid accounts to connect to at the moment. If you don't think this is correct, please get in touch with your administrator.

Return to the Third Party Provider

I have been logging in to Bankline no problem so its not my login.  I have the same thing on another client ☹

Many thanks

Alex

Thank you

Had to go through it all again unfortunately.. (another 1/2 hour) and today the two working accounts don't work again - error 163.  Waiting for response via email as couldn't resolve.

I appreciate all the help I've received and it has been substantial, but don't even want to look at my time on clock for this :(

Natwest Bank connection - no eligible accounts

Hi My clients account usually updates fine after i put in the account details to reconnect, only this time it hasn't worked. After i had put all the details in correctly to reconnect i had an error message saying it was unable to reconnect as there was no eligible accounts. not had this problem before it usually connects fine. It is a Natwest Bankline business current account.

Natwest Bank connection - no eligible accounts

Hi there

I'm trying to set up bank feeds for our bank accounts. The message I have is

Sorry, you don't have any valid accounts

You don't have any valid accounts to connect to at the moment. If you don't think this is correct, please get in touch with your administrator.

There is no error code mentioned.

Is this the same issue as 'no eligible accounts'?  I don't understand some of the comments above.  Is it to do with a change on Qbooks system or Natwest?

With thanks

Natwest Bank connection - no eligible accounts

Hi Bookkeeper Geek

I see.  Alex was the last person to report 'no valid accounts' and was asked to report it and be on the list.  But that was 3 weeks ago.

I'm interested to know if 'no eligible accounts' and 'no valid accounts' is the same error or two different ones.  I think we need an update on the situation and to know exactly what it means.

Both errors are under the same investigation number, Lady FD.

As I've checked, our engineers are still working with the affected banks to resolve the issue when adding or reconnecting accounts.

In the meantime, you have the option to temporarily import your banking transactions using a CSV file. Check out this article if you want to try out this option: Import Bank Transactions Using Excel CSV Files.

Please take note that these transactions will be part of the automatic download once the connection is working again. These means that you'll need to exclude them to avoid duplicate banking transactions in your account.

We'll post and share the update in this thread as soon as we receive them from our engineering team. Let me know if you need anything else so I can get back here and offer my help again.

Natwest Bank connection - no eligible accounts

Hi Sophie,

My problems seem to have started with the new legislation for 'Open banking'.  See  https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-uk/banking/open-banking-faq/00/300470

Only Natwest current accounts were available initially (but mine and others haven't worked since it was introduced) however the information seems to have been updated and suggests other accounts should now be available (see refer to this article at the bottom paragraph in the above link).  I'm glad to hear your current accounts work.
