Need to update bank connection... won't reconnect to monzo. tried deleting monzo, now can't add it back. authentication failed but was all good before.

It's my priority to help you with connecting your bank to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

 

Bank connection issues happen when the bank is performing system maintenance. Or, there are notifications from your bank's website that needs attention. To isolate the issue, you can start by logging into your financial institution's website to review any alerts that need your attention. Once signed in, perform the following steps:

 

  1. Review your account page for messages, notifications, or alerts. 
  2. Check your bank’s website for any announcements.
  3. Once done, go back to your QBSE account to reconnect your account and perform a manual update.
    1. Go to the Gear icon, then click on Bank accounts.
    2. Tap on Refresh all.

On the other hand, you can also export the transactions from your bank, then upload them to QBSE manually. Once the transactions are added into QuickBooks, here's how you can categorise them.
