Hello there, @ruth13.
I'd like to ensure that you'll be able to reconnect your business BMM savings account into QuickBooks Online.
To get this this issue sorted out, we can try reconnecting your account using a private window. This help us determine if the problem has something to do with your browser.
If you're now able to connect your bank account using, you may need to clear the cache of the regular browser you're using. The stored cache can sometimes cause unusual behavior like being unable to reconnect a bank account.
However, if doing this doesn't make a difference, I suggest contacting the financial institution. This way, you'll be able to verify if your bank is one of the participating institutions for Open Banking. It's part of a new regulation that allows customers to share their financial information electronically, securely, and with permission, that is confirmed every 90 days. This process can be the reason you can't reconnect your account yet.
To add up, you can also check out these links below for more details about finding your bank account if it's not showing on the lists and on how to connect your accounts in QBO:
I'll be around to provide continued support if there's anything else you need. Just let me know by leaving a reply below. Stay safe.
Hi I have tried all of that and it isn't connecting - HSBC are part of the open scheme hence my other accounts with them connecting. It just does not 'see' the BMM account anymore so I get through to the online banking connection it just only 'sees' the current account. It currently says error 355
Hello Ruth13,
Error 355 is an intermittent issue, You can try and update/connect the account later, This issue is normally self-resolving and is normally resolved within 48hrs. Please reach out again if the 48hrs window has passed and your still unable to connect, in the mean time try connecting the account again a bit later on.. Thanks
It has been this way now for 3 weeks though.
Hello Ruth13,
Are you getting the error 355 on the BMM account or on your current account?
BMM although before this it just said there was a problem and to try again later for 2 weeks.
Hello Ruth13,
So currently the BMM account for HSBC is not supported by open banking yet, that is why you can't find it, so you will have to CSV the transactions in until there is an availble feed for it.
Do you know when HSBC BMM accounts will be supported by open banking? Im having the same issue since this was introduce
Thanks for joining this conversation, @DeformedToast43.
As of now, we don't have a specific timeline as to when the HSBC BMM accounts will be supported by Open Banking. In the meantime, you can manually import the bank transactions to QuickBooks Online (QBO) as a workaround.
Here's how:
