Some deleted items are throwing out the opening balance so I am unable to reconcile the bank statement. The relevant category in Chart of Accounts only shows Run Report.

It seems I need to change the status to Reconciled again in the account history but am unable to do this as Run Report is the only option.

Some deleted items are throwing out the opening balance so I am unable to reconcile the bank statement. The relevant category in Chart of Accounts only shows Run Report.

I appreciate posting your QuickBooks Online reconciliation inquiry here in the Community, Mullins. Let me show you how we can fix and change the status of your previously reconciled items.

 

First, ensure that you're following your bank statements upon doing this in order to have matching and alignment between your bank and your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. To modify the status of your previously reconciled account, kindly follow the steps provided below:

 

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Click on the blued highlighted word Go To Bank Register.
  3. Select the bank account that has previously reconciled item by clicking the dropdown icon beside the Bank Account History.
  4. Find the item, then click it.
  5. Below the Reconciliation Status box, click on it three times to label it as Cleared or Reconciled.
  6. Once done, click Save.
