The CSV file from my bank is 277kb and Quickbooks only accepts CSV files at 100kb. It also won’t accept a zipped file. What can I do to upload more transactions?

Hello, Richardmhunt3. In QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), the maximum file size for a CSV upload is 100 KB, and the system does not accept zipped files.

To upload your transactions, you will need to split your 277 KB file into three smaller CSV files and upload them individually. Before you do, please ensure your data is formatted correctly for QBSE’s single-entry system. Your CSV must include these three columns:

  • Date
  • Description
  • Amount

Manual upload is currently the only way to import these transactions. For a step-by-step guide on setting up your data, please refer to this article: Prepare your CSV file for bank upload to QuickBooks.

Try using csv2qbo converter tool as a workaround. It's $60 one time license.
