Tide bank connection stopped working

When refreshing my bank account, I now get this error message:


"Something isn't working

Sorry, your bank no longer supports working with QuickBooks. Contact your bank for more info.(1000)"

This connection has been working fine up to now and I have a second QB subscription with a connection to the same bank (different account) that also works fine. The bank in question is "Tide". I have tried clearing cache and I have tried on multiple devices.


Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Community. Thanks for letting us know about the troubleshooting you've taken before contacting us.


I have additional tips to share that can resolve errors when the bank connection stopped working in QuickBooks Online. 


It could be that your credentials for this specific bank account needs to be updated. Ensure to use the same credentials you've used as you log in on your bank's website.


If you know you're using the correct sign-in information, go to your bank's website and update your password. Then, go back to QBO and re-enter it on the banking page. 


If you encounter the same issue, disconnect your bank and search your bank again using your banks' URL link. Choose the correct bank, then reconnect it. 


If you're still getting the same error, please contact our Customer Care team. They can check what's causing this error and help you fix it.

Could you kindly try again and see if your Tide account now connects and remains connected ? We made some improvements with our Tide integration and believe this should now be addressed.

Im also trying to connect tide bank account ( tried multiple times) 

it just doesn’t work .. when i click on support, cant get anywhere

I know that being able to link the bank and download the transactions is an easier way than other methods. I'd like to help you in setting up your Tide bank account.

First, I'd like to know if you encountered an error code or message. That can help me to determine the reason why you can't link it and I'll be able to provide a more specific resolution.

For now, you'll want to check if Tide bank is having a system issue. This is a common reason why we encountered unusual behavior in QuickBooks Online. You can visit their website or contact them.

Also, please check this link: Open Banking connection errors in QuickBooks Online. This contains the common banking connection errors and details on how to fix them.

In addition, you can bring in the transactions manually. All you need is a file from Tide that you can upload to QuickBooks Online. Go to the Banking or Bookkeeping menu, select Transactions, then select Banking. Click the Upload transactions button and follow the on-screen steps.
