I'm glad you reach out to us about this, NickDalton.
The message you're getting indicates that your bank is not supported in QuickBooks Online (QBO). But no worries, you can request support for your bank by following the instructions below:
After submitting your request, you can use the following methods below to download and import your bank transactions.
All you need to know about connecting bank account in QBO can be found in this article: Find your bank account when you connect to online banking.
Feel free to leave a comment if you have any additional questions or other concerns.
I’ve sorted it.
It is because of the change to open banking with HSBC and QB’s inability to find a software solution to open banking.
Following a “HSBC connection problem” thread on here, I deleted the account and then re-connected it.
I wish I hadn’t!
I now have to reset ALL my rules and redo ALL my accounts and settings.
Some of my data is now doubled. Which no means about 5 days work!
Thank you for joining the thread, @NickDalton.
I understand the frustration being caused by this error and rest assured our engineers are continuously working so the bank becomes available for open banking. As mentioned by Charies_M above, you can prepare an Excel CSV file and upload it to bring your transactions to QuickBooks. If there are duplicate entries added to your account, then you may need to exclude them from the Banking page.
For additional reference about excluding transactions from the banking page, read this article.
Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm a few clicks away to help. Have a good day!
That is a bit like getting a ticket for plane that is going to Australia, only to be told by the pilot when you are on board, that the destination is New Zealand and you have to get a boat the rest of the way!
Its’ a software bridging incompatibility issue that your techs should be sorting!
QB advertises itself on being super easy, here I am 8 hours into it and now I need to delete ALL the stuff I’ve done in the last year!
£20 per month for this? All we’re doing is correcting the stuff you should have sorted.
Getting an accountant to do it all would have been easier AND cheaper in man hours.
(As yet I haven’t found an accountant that uses QB. They all use their own software.)
I’m downgrading the account for starters and seriously considering cancelling atm.
As you can tell, I’m very frustrated.
