Banks that support Open Banking connections with QuickBooks Online

If your bank is supported under Open Banking regulations, you can connect your accounts and credit cards for a complete, real-time view of all your finances and cash flow. In this article, we'll explore which banks support Open Banking and how you can connect your bank to QuickBooks Online.

If your bank isn't listed, don't worry–QuickBooks supports all other banks via manual uploads. You can also request support for your bank, right from within your QuickBooks Online account.

The current banks and financial institutions who offer open banking in the UK are:

  • Allied Irish Bank - UK Bank accounts and Rep of Ireland Personal accounts only.
  • Amazon Mastercard

  • Bank of Ireland (United Kingdom domiciled bank accounts)
  • Bank of Scotland
  • Barclaycard
  • Barclays

C

  • CAF Bank Online - use Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) to connect, and you'll need to enter your user ID and password when updating transactions.
  • Capitol One
  • Cashplus
  • Cater Allen
  • Coutts Bank
  • Cumberland Building Society

  • Danske Bank

  • Fire Financial Services
  • First Direct
  • Fluid Credit Card

  • Halifax
  • Handelsbanken Corporate Banking
  • Handelsbanken Personal Banking (includes Personal and Business bank accounts)
  • Hoares Bank
  • HSBC Business & Personal Banking
  • HSBC Kinetic - you must use the QuickBooks mobile app to connect.
  • HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man - upload transactions manually. Includes Personal and Credit Card accounts. Channel Islands domiciled accounts are currently unsupported by Open Banking
  • HSBC Net - if you see the message 'Your user profile isn’t set up for this service’, contact your HSBCNet System Administrator to update your permissions.
