Why can't I reconfirm consent with my banks? I just get a message "something unexpected occurred"

When using Open Banking to connect your bank account to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), you'll need to update your bank connection periodically. Open Banking requires you to renew your consent every 90 days.

To resolve this issue, start by checking for alerts or messages from your bank that may require your attention, such as new security terms or a one-time passcode. Ensure you respond to any prompts on your bank's website, as they might be necessary to re-establish the connection.

Once you've addressed these notifications, try reconfirming your bank connection in the program again. If the issue persists and you're unable to renew your bank feed consent, contact our live support team for assistance. A support agent can help investigate the problem and guide you through the reconnection process.

Here's how to reach out to them:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks account.
  2. Select the Help icon in the upper-right-hand corner of your screen.
  3. Scroll down to select the Contact Us button and follow the prompts.
  4. You will be able to request a callback or start a live chat with an expert.

To ensure timely assistance, please take a moment to review our support hours before reaching out.
