Why is the banking link showing duplicated payments? also why is it suddenly not showing up all possible matches?

Thank you for reaching out to the community, bensgardenservic. To explain everything, I can provide reasons for duplicate payments and no match found.

Duplicates occur when you manually update the connection at the same time while QuickBooks Online (QBO) is automatically downloading your bank transactions during its nightly process.

If you're using QBO on a web browser, you can follow these steps on how to remove duplicate transactions:

  1. Go to Transactions and select Bank transactions.
  2. Click the For Review tab.
  3. Select the checkbox of the transactions to exclude.
  4. Tap Exclude.

Furthermore, there are several reasons why your transactions may not be matching in QBO, such as:

  • The payees, amounts, or dates don't match.
  • The transaction is older than six months.
  • The payment has been reconciled.
  • The record is already matched to another transaction.
  • Multiple currencies are involved, and the exchange rate has shifted significantly, making the amounts very different.

If you're still unable to find a match, you can manually search for the transaction and verify all the details to ensure they match.

You can read this article for more information: Match online bank transactions

Once you're done categorizing and ensuring all transactions are matched, you can start reconciling your QuickBooks account. (You can use this for future reference)

In addition, you can automatically categorize your transaction by enabling and setting up bank rules in QBO.

If you have more concerns about your bank transactions. Don't hesitate to comment or reply to this post. I'm always here to help you out.
