Yes, you can turn on the billable expenses in your QB essentials. Let me show you how:
- Go to the Settings icon.
- Select Account and Settings.
- Navigate to the Expenses tab.
- Click the Pencil (✎) from the Bills and expenses section, then select the following:
- Show Items table on expense and purchase forms
- Track expenses and items by customer
- Make expenses and items billable
5. You can also set up the following optional item:
- Markup rate
- Billable expense tracking
- Sales tax charge
- Bill payment terms
Click Save, then Done. Your billable expense tracking is now turned on and you can start recording your billable expenses.
