In QuickBooks Online, one company is equivalent to a subscription. Hence, merging two same companies is not possible.
Since you've mentioned that the other company is a duplicate, we'll need to cancel it. This is to avoid duplicate subscription charges. Here's how to do it:
- Log in to the duplicate company.
- Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Account and Settings.
- Select the Billing & Subscription tab and go to the QuickBooks tile.
- Select Cancel subscription or Cancel online.
- Follow the cancellation processes and click Submit and cancel subscription.
- Select Got it.
