Which version of Quickbooks Online UK includes billable expense as standard (i.e Essentials, Essentials +)

The Billable Expense feature is available in QuickBooks Online Plus only, Connectivity.

 

When you perform a work for your customer, this is the expense you incur on their behalf.

 

I'll show you on how to turn on this feature:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. Go to the Expenses tab.
  4. Click the Pencil icon in the Bills and expenses section.
  5. Check the Make expenses and items billable box.
  6. Select a markup default rate (optional).
  7. Select on how you track the billable expenses and items as income.
  8. Click Save, then Done.

To learn more about it, I'll provide you this reference to guide you better.

Why is this so hard?

I just want expenses I marked as billable to a customer to automatically get added to the next invoice I send them. I pay for QBO. There's no 'Online Plus' package available to me (UK) so how do I make this work??

Such a simple feature; I'm looking at switching from AND.CO but this is holding me back

Thanks for following this conversation, @Luke filmmaker. QuickBooks Online Plus version is available in the United Kingdom. Let me guide you on upgrading your plan so you can use the Billable expense feature. 

 

First off, you'll need to sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary or company admin. Then follow these steps below: 

 

  1. Go to the Settings menu, then Account and settings.
  2. Select the Billing & Subscription tab and ensure your payment info is up-to-date.
  3. Select Upgrade your plan in the QuickBooks Online section.
  4. Review the available plans and then select Choose plan.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to upgrade your plan.

Thanks, got it 👌🏼 just shocked that AND.CO (which I'm coming from) offered this very basic feature of adding expenses to my invoices, for 1/4 of the price of QB. Why do I need the most expensive subscription for big business just to get this simple feature?
