Hello there, timellis9.
One possible reason why you’re not having the option to select the last payroll tax year is because you’re still under that year. You can try to check you have already summited your final payroll for that year. If not, please refer to this article: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Employees-and-Payroll/Running-final-payroll-2018-2019-in-Qui...
Though, if you’re already on the 2019/2020 payroll tax year, I’d recommend contacting the support team to investigate this further. Here’s how:

Hi Kudos, thank you for your reply and suggestion. I have doubled checked and I have already submitted a final payroll for the year and indeed also for month 1 of 2019/20.
I have checked the RTI submissions log which confirms the submission for final the final declaration for 2018/19 has completed successfully.
A point worth noting is that the procedure to check the submission in step 4 of the link you provided ("go to Taxes > Payroll Tax > Click the filing > Review") does not work for me as there is no "Payroll Tax" option under taxes. The route I use is option "Employers Settings > Real Tim Informat... > View Log".
As suggested, I will now try and initiate a Chat Call again although I have tried twice this morning already which ended in me being transferred it a long queue as a person with the wrong skill set contacted me.
Thanks again for your help.
When you were transferred earlier, was the agent you got through to unable to help you?
