Can anyone help me to finalise a payroll which has not presented a problem for the last two years!

Do not understand what is preventing the payroll from not being submitted to HMRC. No warnings to clear down

Can anyone help me to finalise a payroll which has not presented a problem for the last two years!

Thanks for visiting the QuickBooks Community, Dfidler. I'd be delighted to share some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue regarding the payroll not being submitted to HMRC.

 

Beforehand, may I know what happened when you were trying to submit a payroll? Also, what is your current payroll subscription? This way, we can better check if there's an ongoing issue with it.

 

In the meantime, I suggest submitting your payroll to HMRC through a private/incognito window if you haven't tried it. The private window will not save any history, making it a good place to identify browser problems. To save you time, use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N 
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

If you're able to submit payroll using a private browser, you can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to improve the program's performance. Otherwise, using other supported browsers can be a good alternative too. If the issue persists after performing the troubleshooting steps above, I suggest utilizing another device to access your QBO account.
