Furlough Salary pulling through on payslip of employee who is not on furlough

All of my employees are on hourly rate apart from one who is salaried. I run them all on the same pay run.

The hourly paid employees are on furlough but the salaried one is not.

I have not used the furlough pay rate on this employees earnings section this month however it is showing in their payslip.

I honestly don't know how this could be. There is no information showing under furlough within their location.

Please can someone help as I need to get payslips sent out asap

I've got some ideas on how to correct your employees' payslip earnings.

The furlough pay rate will appear on your employee's payslip if:

The furlough category on pay rates was enabled.
It's part of the employee's year-to-date (YTD) information.
Possible browser-related issue.

I can narrow down the solutions to get around this issue. First, let's check the pay rates and YTD details on your employee's profile.

Here's how:

Go to the Payroll menu, and then choose the Employees tab.
Select the employee names with the furlough earning showing on their payslips.
Review their profiles like the pay rates category, YTD, and other info.
Click Save when you're ready.

If all the details are correct and you're having the same issue, I recommend deleting the pay runs or payslips. After that, recreate them as you normally would.

If the issue persists, then this is likely a browser-related issue. I have another way to isolate this.

To start, let's use a private browser when accessing your account. Private mode prevents storing cache that can cause problems when running websites. Thus, a good place to fix unexpected QuickBooks behavior.

Below are the shortcut keys you can use to access one:

Ctrl+ Shift + N for Google Chrome .
Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge .
Command + Shift + N for Safari .

Once there, please review your payslips again. If it works, please go back to your original browser and clear its cache. This way, the system can start fresh and revert to its default state. Otherwise, you can use another supported web engine instead.

Yes, it's the YTD information that was confusing me.

I can't actually remove that from a payslip can I?

Thank you for getting back to this thread, @DLFOODANDDRINK.

You can use the steps given by my colleague above as a workaround, deleting the pay runs or payslips. Then, recreate it as you normally would. I would also recommend contacting our support team. So they can check what’s causing this issue and remove the employee status from the furlough category.

here’s how:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.

2. Go to Help (?).

3. Select Contact Us.

4. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.

5. Choose a way to connect with us:

Start a chat with a support expert.
Get a callback from the next available expert.
